Ascendio 2012 has a lot of StarKid-related things going on at their conference this year from July 12-15 in Orlando! Britney Coleman, Tyler Brunsman, Matt Lang, Nick Lang, Devin Lytle, Joe Moses, Jim Povolo, Brian Rosenthal, Dylan Saunders, and Nick Strauss will all be attending the conference this year. There will be a meet and greet, a panel w/ the Lang brothers, a panel w/ Pat Brady, Potion Master’s Corner, photo ops, and more! Click here for full details and registration.

We’re hosting ASCENDIO, our next (and final) HP fancon in Orlando in July at Universal Orlando’s Portofino Bay Resort, and a private event called Night of a Thousand Wizards 2 at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on July 12.

But before we get everything started in Florida, we have a few things from cons past and present that we’d love to give away, including an Infinitus umbrella signed by Christian Coulson (Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets) and a bunch of Team StarKid, including Darren Criss, Lauren Lopez, Brian Holden and Jamie Lynn Beatty - Joe Moses, who’ll be back for two JMOMS shows at Ascendio.
Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) and Afshan Azad (Padma Patil) have offered to sign it too, if the winner wants - it’s your choice!
We’re also giving away an Ascendio Swag Bag. Actually, it’s four bags - the official con tote in Hogwarts House colors - and we’re adding a con t-shirt, stickers, Craft Faire surprises and more!

Better than BluRay Live! Come watch “A Very Potter Musical” with members of Team StarKid. They will be interrupting (well, commentating) throughout the video with their stories about what was happening during the show and why things came out the way they did! Autograph Appearances
Autograph sessions with Team StarKid will be held on Friday and Saturday. While additional tickets may be sold on-site, the only way you can guarantee admission to their autograph sessions is if you get a ticket to the Friday StarKid Panel or have a Merlin’s Circle registration.
So back in 2009, HPEF’s Aziza interviewed Darren Criss and Nick Lang in the aftermath of their acoustic, in-the-round performance at Azkatraz and the lead-up to their premiere of A Very Potter Sequel at Infinitus. You guys. Ascendio made a chart with the different registrations and StarKid tickets and their costs. I love charts more than I love most things. And I love StarKid. And Harry Potter.

There are so many different wonderful presentations planned for this year’s event that it’s going to be tough to figure out which sessions to attend, so we’ve created an Ascendio scheduling app using Guidebook; download yours here - it’s free!
And don’t forget about all our after-hours Meetups (Avengers! Sherlock! Hogwarts Houses! Cosplayers! Educators! Doll collectors! And many more!) and events like Night of a Thousand Wizards 2, where we return to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and get to hang out until 1 AM after all the Muggles have gone home (and no stadium presentations by Universal this time - instead, we go right into the park).
